Loretta Lux @ Fotomuseum Den Haag
I went to an exhibition by Loretta Lux at the fotomuseum in Den Haag today. Very impressing! She takes pictures of mostly children on a white backdrop, cuts ‘em out in photoshop and places them in new environments without any shadows. These kids never smile and all seem to have old souls. Loretta is really into red haired children. The results are ‘paintings’ with a strange kind of innocence, detachment and David Linch effect. All in all a must see as far as I’m concerned.
